EMI Sponsorship

Rocky Mountain Lightning Sprints and Eagle Motorsports INC (EMI) is happy to announce that they have partnered together for the full 2022 season. The Lucas Oil POWRi Rocky Mountain Lightning Sprint Series will now consist of EMI as the series Title Sponsor.

EMI as Title Sponsor for the RMLSA will be competing under the Lucas Oil POWRi banner. This is another sign that Lightning Sprint racing is strong and growing in Colorado. The partnership will bring Recognition to many awards and Accolades such as the EMI victory lane, EMI Hard Charger Award(s), EMI Hard Luck Awards, EMI Quick Time Award, and many more to be announced. “RMLSA board of directors are please, and honored that EMI has partnered with us for the 2022 season and what we hope will be for many years to come,” says Vice President Chris Crowder. “We feel that EMI and RMLSA will be able to provide each other an opportunity where we can grow each other’s brand, and diversify the opportunities of our membership throughout the entirety of the partnership.”

The POWRi Lucas Oil, EMI, Rocky Mountain Lightning Sprint Series will kick off it’s season at I-76 Speedway, in Ft. Morgan, CO on Saturday May 7th at 5pm.

#24 B Johnny Boos is the 2021 Champion

With 9 wins in 15 race nights, the #24B Honda powered Hyper driven by Johnny Boos wins the 2021 RMLSA Championship. The #7 Honda powered FLood Racing Components chassis driven by Josh Flood had 4 wins and finished second in points. The #9 FHonda Powered Flood Racing components #9F driven by Andy Flood finished third in points. The #81 Honda powered Hyper chassis driven by Mike McMillan finished 4th, with the #39X Honda powered FOZ chassis driven by Dakota Dillin rounding out the top five. The #33 Yamaha powered fab tech driven by Gale Ingram finished 6th, with the #31 Yamaha powered Hyper driven by Steve Beclker finished 7th in points. The #32 Suzuki powered Hyper driven by Blair Cooper finished 8th in points.

The final race of 2021 goes to #24B Johnny Boos!

A beautiful fall evening welcomed 14 RMLSA racers to El Paso County Raceway for the final race of the 2021 season.

Heat races were won by #7 Josh Flood and #13 Josiah King.

The feature was a good one. #9F Andy Flood took the lead with #24B Johnny Boos and #71 Frank Martinex close behind. It was a green to checkered race , and when the dust settled, Johnny Boos and Josh Flood got by the Andy Flood #9F and the Frank Martinez #71 , with Boos taking the win and the championship. #7 Josh Flood took second in the race and the championship battle, with #9F Andy Flood taking the final spot on the podium, and also third in points.
